Maybe I Have A Future After All...?

Went to a meeting tonight at college about University and how to apply through UCAS. It was really interesting and it's kind of helped me make up my mind about whether I want to go to Uni or not... And I think I do :) It feels good to finally have a goal and something to work towards, like a weight off my mind.

At the moment, I'm only getting support from my Dad, who said he thinks I should go :) But my mom is another story entirely. She's tried just about everything now to try and put me off, whether it be with the cost of fee's or put me off my choice of course (Performance or a combined course of Drama and English). It hurts. It's like she doesn't believe I could do it or get anywhere... I mean, I'm realistic, I know how hard it is to break into that area (especially with my mediocre talents) and how much work it'll take. But I'm prepared to do everything I can.

I had a Careers Appointment the other day as well which also helped a lot. The woman I was spoke to just kind of talked me through UCAS points, pointed out some Universities and the different qualifications/courses they do. Seeing as no one in my family has ever been to uni, I don't know anything about it, so it really helped. She pointed out some uni's as well... Including Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and University of the Arts London :D Both of which sound really good!

Now I know what I'm aiming for, I know what I've got to do over the next couple of months to make it possible. So here's my list of 'practical' aims for the summer... May sound stupid but I need something to work towards or I feel completely and totally lost like I have over the last couple of weeks...

- Research Universities and narrow down to about 5
- Start looking at the UCAS website
- Start my personal statement for my applications
- Get a job
- Pass driving theory
- Pass driving test

And just by doing that, I feel a lot better about myself. So right now, I'm curled up in my boyfriend's hoodie and watching Waterloo Road :) Happy times. So here's today's photo which I think is appropriate to this post :) And also, thank you to the new person that's following me :) I appreciate it xo
